Why we started
Most of us started out editing our own videos and then freelancing. The same thing kept happening to the creators we worked with: they would find a good editor, the editor would take on too many clients, and upload day turned into a scramble.
So we set up as a studio. Each channel has one lead editor, and the motion and sound work goes to people who only do that. Someone senior watches every cut before you see it.
We take on a few channels at a time so the person editing your first video is still around for your fiftieth.
How we work
We cut for watch time
Pauses, repeats and B-roll that wanders off all come out. If a shot does not move the story along, it goes.
One editor per channel
The same person edits your videos every week, so you explain your style once and the fonts and pacing stay the same.
Sound gets real time
We clean the voice, set the room tone, add small effects and keep the music under the dialogue. Bad audio loses people faster than bad pacing.
Notes on the cut
You leave comments at the exact second on our review page. Changes usually come back in a day or two.
